I wanted to capture the look and feel of a classical painting, specifically along the lines of Rembrandt's work. I couldn't manage the richness of an oil painting digitally, but I hope that some sense of richness is conveyed. This charming opossum belongs to Loiosh. The sumptuous couch is mostly of my own design, a few bits inspired from the Handbook of Ornamental Motifs.

Wow! :wow: You did a wonderful job evoking the feeling of a classical painting, with those deep, rich colors. The character is magnificently detailed, from the lit strands of fur to the pink nose, paws, and tail. The style of the couch is awesome and I like that you added a mini-still life to this painting- it adds a lot to the piece. Amazing work! :D

I love the rich colours and feel you have in this piece - you did a great job catching that feel of oil! I love the unconventional topic too - opossums are adorable!

Wow.. That fur is so incredibly realistic! You can easily see the immediate resemblance to a real possum's fluffy, yet wiry hair as it sticks out from some places in an unkempt manner. The transition from gray to black to pink on his hands and feet is seamless, and worth notice. I also see how the sides and legs of the couch are fashioned like pawpads and paws, as well as the table. It brings out the anthropomorphic qualities of the picture, to be sure. c:

I'd say this is one of your best pieces yet. Excellent job!

I think you pulled off the oil look well, and with such lovely detail. I especially like the lions' foot couch and the incorporation of ';pawpad' work in the pillowing

You've truly, (and what I used to think impossibly,) outdone yourself.
