A sketch for Purple Weeble for the Anthro Sketch Exchange on Livejournal. She requested a steampunk themed sketch and I was more than happy to oblige. I love love love steampunk.

She's after some sort of magical treasure locked away within the bowels of ancient machinery.

Well, yeah, maybe not 100& pure steampunk- but Perdido Street Station by China Mieville comes to mind. Lots of crazy stuff in that one, it's brilliant. also I have a copy of the difference engine by William Gibson and Bruce Sterling I plan to read soon, that I think is the granddaddy of steampunk books.
