The Whirbird, clockwork hummingbird with gears, brass and nickel keyfeathers, a glass heart, and a touch of the Elsewhere.
Original is large, I think 18x24, and is all colored pencil. The background was smashed in using Prismacolor Art Stix, which are pastel shaped chunks of woodless colored pencil lead.
This is fantastic! I love all of the little gears and the details put into this little guy. I also like the colors you used for the background. Overall, terrific job!

Really beautiful. I love the intricacy of all the little parts. The natural hummingbird really blends well with the mechanical aspects you added to it. Absolutely stunning work.

A hummingbird! <3 The details sure are great! I also love the colors you used in this, they are so shiny and nice to look at. The background looks great with the colors of the bird and the mechanical little parts, too. ^^
